Smoke is a cyborg ninja from the Mortal Kombat video game series. He is a member of the Lin Kuei ninja clan and was friends with Sub-Zero until his masters forced him to undergo cybernetic augmentation, turning him into a mindless killing machine.
Smoke's history is not explored in Mortal Kombat: Annihilation and he only appears in one scene, though his abilities are identical to those of the red cyber-ninja Sektor, who does not appear in the film.

At an unknown point, Smoke was captured by Shao Kahn and reprogrammed to hunt down Liu Kang and Princess Kitana. On their way to meet the shaman Nightwolf, Liu and Kitana are ambushed by Smoke who is commanding an Outworld extermination squad. Smoke attacks by firing missiles from his torso but as he is about to launch another, Sub-Zero appears and freezes Smoke. Before the missile detonates, Liu Kang kicks Smoke over a cliff and into a bottomless pit. The missile explodes on the way down and Smoke is destroyed.
