Scarlet Levy is one of the main characters of the British horror film 28 Weeks Later. A medical officer in the US Army holding the rank of Major, she was assigned to the NATO task force sent to oversee the re-population of Britain after it was decimated by the Rage virus. She was portrayed by Rose Byrne.

History[]

Scarlet was tasked with overseeing the medical screening of the citizens re-populating London. She was considered an expert on the Rage virus and was charged with determining the possibility of another outbreak. She examined Andy Harris and noted his heterochromic eye colour, a condition that Andy had inherited from his mother.

When Alice Harris was discovered alive outside of the Green Zone, Scarlet examined her and discovered that Alice was infected with the Rage virus. Although Alice exhibited none of the common symptoms of the Infected, her blood and saliva still carried the lethal pathogen, meaning that she could potentially spark another outbreak. Scarlet's fears were realised when Don became infected after kissing Alice and proceeded to spread the virus throughout District One.

As the infection spread, Scarlet took it upon herself to protect Andy and Tammy, whom she believed may also carry the same immunity to the virus that their mother did. With the help of Sgt. Doyle, Scarlet escorted Andy and Tammy out of District One and towards Wembley Stadium in hopes of being evacuated out of the country.

Death[]

Scarlet, Tammy and Andy arrived at the subway station to Wembley Stadium and Scarlet used the nightvision scope on Doyle's rifle to see in the pitch blackness of the abandoned station. She tried her best to keep the Harris siblings safe and close, but she was ambushed by the infected Don who wrested the rifle from her hands and then clubbed her to death with it.
