Prince Goro is one of the primary villains of the Mortal Kombat movie. He is a member of the four-armed Shokan race and a general of the armies of Outworld. In the first Mortal Kombat game and in the film, Goro is the reigning champion of the Mortal Kombat tournament, having won nine tournaments in a row over the last 500 years. In the film, his character's top half is animatronic whilst his bottom half is provided by an uncredited actor. His voice is provided by Kevin Michael Richardson (dialogue) and Frank Welker (vocalizations).
When Goro enters the battle during the latter half of the tournament, he savagely beats all of his opponents to death, including Art Lean. After witnessing Art's death, Johnny Cage comes up with a plan to defeat Goro and requests Shang Tsung to allow him to fight the Shokan prince early in exchange for Shang choosing the location for the tournament's final battle, against a fighter of his choice. The deal is made and Johnny faces Goro, quickly gaining the upper hand against the monster with one of his signature moves: doing the splits and punching his enemy in the balls. This attack stuns Goro (and possibly injures Johnny's hand) and Johnny runs out of the arena through a cave and to a cliff edge. Goro follows Johnny, who ambushes him and knocks him over the edge. Goro grabs on to the ledge but loses his grip, plummeting into the darkness below.
