The reek is a large, bovine-esque creature (or possibly a pachyderm) from the Star Wars universe. They herbivores that can be found on such planets as Ylesia (their homeworld), Ithor, Saleucami and Kashyyyk. Though they eat plants when in the wild, reeks that have been captured for sports and executions have been trained to eat meat, making them even more ferocious. In Star Wars - Episode II: Attack Of The Clones, a reek is seen in the Petranaki Arena on Geonosis along with an acklay and a nexu and is brought out to execute the captive Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Padme Amidala. When the reek attacks Anakin, it breaks the chain holding him to the pillar, allowing the Padawan freedom of movement to better survive the situation. When the Jedi reinforcements arrive in the arena, Anakin even manages to briefly tame the reek using the Force and rides atop the beast as it tramples over several battle droids. The reek is killed when Jango Fett shoots it between the eyes.
