Greta Gibson is a supporting character in the slasher-horror film A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child. She is portrayed by Erika Anderson and is the second character to die in the film.
History[]
Greta is a friend of Alice Johnson and her boyfriend Dan Jordan. They became acquainted during their final year at Springwood High School. Greta is a fun-loving, care-free girl who would rather spend her time hanging out with her friends, but finds herself bent to the will of her socialite mother. The Gibson family are wealthy and Greta's mother, in particular, is very controlling. Greta is being groomed by her mother to become a supermodel, something she has very little interest in.
When Dan is killed in an apparent car accident, Alice tries to convince her friends that Freddy Krueger has returned and is responsible for Dan's death. Though she tries to be emotionally supportive, Greta doesn't believe Alice's story.

Using Alice's unborn baby as a conduit, Freddy is able to invade the dreams of Alice's friends, with Greta becoming his second victim. While Greta is sitting down to dinner with her mother and her socialite friends, Greta falls asleep at the table. Finding herself trapped in a modified high-chair, Greta cannot escape or fight back as Freddy appears with a service trolley. On the trolley is a doll made in Greta's image and Freddy slices the doll open to reveal human organs inside. He then force-feeds the organs to Greta while the other party-goers laugh at her. Greta's cheeks swell up as she is stuffed with her own organs and begins choking. While she suffocates, Freddy picks her up and dances with her, patting her back to "burp" her. In the real world, Greta appears to get up from her seat at the table as she chokes on her meal. At Alice's home, Greta's dream-self appears through her refrigerator door, crying and reaching out for help. Alice tries to pull her out, only for Freddy to pop up and pull Greta back inside. No one tries to help her and moments later she collapses dead at the table.
